What are our trucks worth?

This little jewel right here will eventually have $50K in her when it is all said and done. Probably only worth $20K at best. Therefore I would say it is priceless!!!

50K going into that truck? That cannot be restored original right? I'll have 30-34K into mine, 12K of that is for body/paint, and nearly 2k in trim. Granted, I have a nice template, and I don't have to dive into engine, transmission or the rear end............. 2-tone ochre/white was the original on my truck. I'm either running with 4-tone ochre/white, or 2-tone dark blue/white with moldings. That in itself takes up too much time in me brain.

I'm going to disagree to some extent. Our trucks are like 60s-70s rock/blues/pop/motown, cream of the crop. ......Quality and style. Seriously, what looks better and has more style than a sweet old clean Chevy? Nothing plastic, that's for certain. Our steering wheels excluded, of course.............Look at some of your 30s trucks. What they run, 70-80K for near mint?

To be honest in our area just a cab is $1,500 - $2,500. A box is in the same range. Front clip is $1k - $2k depending...in other words you can spend $4-$10k for just a shell if you're doing it in good southern parts.

Of course there are deals out there. But they seem to be getting very, very rare.

I've been working on my '67 short step 292 3 oot 3.73 POSI frame off stockish build for about 2 months and it's almost ready for paint if the weather would cooperate ! anyway ,I've been saving every receipt right down to the gas to pick up parts along the way .

mechanical/media blasting complete all sheet metal and frame
epoxy coating frame and body
sheet metal repair '
all new hardware
all new interior
all new gaskets / seals/ glass
all new complete brake system / shocks (drums)
rebuilt 292 /new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing (3 speed )
rebuilt rear seals clutches
new tires and used set of mags I already had.

I'll have less than $5,000.00 in it finished .including the purchase price

It's that having to have someone else build it for you that makes them so expensive and time consuming .

I already have more than a few buyers looking at it In the $15,000.00 range and it's not done yet . I bought the truck as a parts truck then realized it had a 292 and 3.73 posi and a great frame i offered it up for sale in here at $2,000.00 and nobody wanted it so I decided to build it and got carried away with it (everyone does) When it sells It's just that much further I can take my restomod '67 short fleet 496 4speed muncie with custom made buckets consol and rear power window .Now I'm thinking of dropping it on a complete no limit frame ?$$
