I had to say it was a clone and not the real deal. the funny part is that I did not even relize what I had untill owning the car for about 3 years. when I took it back out in 2001 I insured it with Hagarty Insurance and got a call from Jim Hagarty himself wanting to look at it and make me a offer on the car,we actuly became friends and I will tell you he has some collection of cars I have seen in person and cars are his second passion his boat collection is second to none.
Dang !!! What an interesting story , I actually read through it twice . You never mentioned what kind of car . ???

His handle is 3757 so I am going to guess its a car of one of those years 37 or 57

Very interesting story / great for a car show too.. along with also being on here

I too am almost on pins and needles waiting for his reply ..

That's fantastic. I always said if I lived in the SW I'd keep the same vehicle going forever. Ended up back east where the elements and the gov't sponsored metal eating program makes that pretty much impossible. People could just stay home 6 or so days a year or use chains like they used to.

Like I said, I've had my toddler 18 years now. But when people ask if it's for sale my standard reply is not yes or no, it's "This one's my keeper". I've already been through a lot with this pony and this cowboy's gonna ride'r into the sunset. I'll do it one day, but haven't wanted to restore it because I don't want to loose riding time with it. Also don't want it too nice to go in it and do with it as I've been. My younger son will have this truck when I'm gone

Re: Longest you've owned a vehicle? Here's our FIFTY!

I've had this Jeep about 32 years now. My kids learned to drive in it as did my nieces, nephews and a few neighbor kids, now I'm going to teach my grandkids to drive it.

I've told them all... if you can drive this you can drive anything.

Re: Longest you've owned a vehicle? Here's our FIFTY!

Surprisingly its my off-road truck, got it in late 2007. Everything i buy is usually already rusty junk so it doesn’t last long in the salt out here anyways.

Most recent pic of it, hasn’t been out in about 2 years not really worth selling as it ain’t worth anything, maybe one day it will come out again before it sinks back into the earth

My other two trucks my 86 and 90 i got right around 2010

Wow that went by quick...The 67 SWB has been in my custody for 35 years this summer and the GTO 34 years in October.
