need a ride

I am working on my 69 pickup(only ride) and i thought it would be nice to have another set of wheels to drive while i am working on it. I am 17 so money is an issue. i was wondering if anyone new of where i could find a cheap ride. Or any other ideas.

Ever consider an older motorcycle? Here in California, the weather is nice enough to ride most of the year. Maintaining a bike is more intensive than a car, but cheaper on gas, easier to park, great for riding around with women.

My .02 cents.

BlueBeard.. You are not a target if you are moving fast enough... I love my truck but my bike with do 0-60mph in under 5 seconds, while getting about 40 mpg!

In California... you must be 16 yrs old and take a class to get your license. In NC I am not sure.

Do like I did! I got a 1972 1 ton dually for $450.00. I've seen others around just sitting. I guess people don't like to restore them since none of them came with a bed and it is hard to make them look neat without major custom work! I thought I was buying a parts truck and it turns out to be a great runner. All I need is new floor pans and a rear axle saddle and I should pass inspection!!
