Got a motor for my Blazer
My brother pulled the motor out of his 99 silverado which I am getting cheap. It is a 4.8 and has a 4l80e. I am going to put a 5.3 crank in it and have it bored out and run LS1 pistons and rods in it. So bascially be a iron block LS1. I will get a set of LS6 heads and intake to go on it also. Should be around 350hp or so. What you guys think??

Re: Got a motor for my Blazer
Get yourself a nice 230ish dur cam to go along with the ls6 intake/heads and you'll be making 400+rwhp with a good tune & free flowing exhaust. I'm heavily into the ls1 scene & have tuned a couple h/c ls1's.....lemme know if ya want help with parts selection or tuning questions.
