Chalet Blazer (spotted)

Back in 2004 My wife and I drove from Salt Lake to Moab. On the way we spotted a Chalet Blazer off Interstate 15 outside Salt Lake City. I had to stop and get a couple of pictuers of it. The body was shot but the camper looked to be all there. I wonder if it is still there?

Wow. Didn't know about that one. I'll be in SLC May 3-6, but probably won't be able to drive around much. You have any contact info on it?

Meanwhile, there's another just north of the city, listed here http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=&ni.../view&ad=42650 . The owner emailed me and said it was serial #1753

No, But you can see it from Interstate 15 headed south outside of SLT. It's on the right side of interstate going south. Looks like a parking lot next to a body shop. I tried to get production # of back of the camper but there was a dog barking near by and I didn't get close enough to see it.

Re: Chalet Blazer (spotted)

Much appreciated, I'll see if one of my pals can motor me by that area. And for anybody else viewing this thread, I do an almost daily internet search of 20 or so bookmarked links for these campers, so if any of you want to find one, I can share those links and what I've currently found, send me a PM.

But if one of you spots a Chalet or Casa Grande just sitting somewhere, please snap a photo, get names & addresses if possible, or at least the area where it's at. Thanks in advance!

Re: Chalet Blazer (spotted)

Didn't have time to go looking for the above mentioned Chalets in SLC area.....

Now I'm curious if any of you guys are in the north central Nebraska area - check out this auction (lots of pics, might be very slow to load): http://vanderbrinkauctions.com/items...AllPhotos=True

The 4th pic is a '50-ish Suburban, scroll further down the page for a lone pic of the Chalet (which unfortunately had its pop up roof blown off, notice the rope over the top), then there's more pics of it further down. Look through the whole bunch, there's a couple of other pre '60s Chevy trucks and all kinds of other vintage rusty ol' iron.....

Full disclosure note: I don't receive a dime for promoting this auction, just wondering if somebody in that area could get the serial number of the Chalet off the little plate near the back door (they haven't responded to my email request for that)..... and to give a good home to it and the other projects!

10-4-07 Edit: Alternate link for this one that works: http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/105...spagenameZWDVW

Re: Chalet Blazer (spotted)

'nother Chalet in another upcoming auction: http://www.raleighclassic.com/new/inventory.php?pid=2 scroll down the page until you find it, plus there's some other classic Chevy trucks to be seen as well.

Same 'full disclosure note' in the above post applies......
