Mopar is an elephant I think. They also have the leaning tower of power for there slant six.

The guys that have the new maro's and trans ams refer to them as L21'S....I work with a guy, I told him it's a small block, well he let me know real quik that NO! IT IS A LS1,

leaning tower of power-haha ive had a couple!!!I like those motors though keepon tickin!!!

Sam funny SBC NO its not its a LS1,some people!!!!.I had this dude st a swapmeet ask me how much for the Weiand SBC intake,i said dude thats for a big block,he said all snobby Well No Its Not,he picked it up-how much i said $75 he bought it,lotta shaving hes gonna have to do to make it fit.I normally wouldnt of done that but he was such a ass,this is for a 350 he said,i remember him distictly in his orange coveralls,mirrored glasses,slick backed hair,with a cig hangin in his mouth the whole time.He said take $50 i was No way dude thats a antique.
Remember my buddy had this little kid type rollaround tool cart,hr wrote $2 on the tag-but smeared it with his hand so it was hard to read,some dude came over looked at it,inside and out upside down he walked away came back and said you take $15 my buddy and i looked at each other like WTF,he was gonna put it in the dumpter when we left the dude handed my friend a $20 and said thanks alot,man we laughed all day!!!!!sometimes makes me wanna mark stuff redicuolus.UHM how much for that tilt column-me say AH dude id take $1200 but nothing less,and i dont care if it sells,Im sure it would goto quite a few swapmeets but ya never know.I bought a tack dash shroud at Pamona for $5 put it in my booth next to the guy i bought it from,labeled what it was and he saw a guy hand me $125 he was pissed.I got a BB PS pump from a guy for a truck w/brackets I said how much-he said whats it fit,i said i think it mihjt fit my Jeep.He said $5 i pulled all my money out $50,$100 and $3 ones he didnt have change he said just give me the 3 ones,i was still carrying it,didnt even get back to put it in my booth-Some guys said Hey Im looking for one of those,you wanna sell it,i said yeah theyre rare,he said ya ive been looking for 2 years,i said $200 its yours he was happy as sh!T

Even though the LSI is called a small block, there isn't much that will bolt onto an older one.
I consider it a whole nother animal myself.

You are right about the LS1, nothing will interchange. But the deal is, it is still concerdered a small block, I think it has 348 ci

Yes you are correct. There are NO interchangeable parts between a small block and a LS1. Now the new style LT1 can use all the internal rotating parts on it, but the heads & front end parts are different.

the chevy 348 is refered to as a porcupine(sp) if i remember correctly.

73 blazer 6 inch all spring lift 350/350 with crappy 3.08 gears and 35 inch bfg tires

54 chevy delray .060 over 250 i-6 which was taken from my first truck(68 gmc). it is next in line for a rebuild

If you ever tangle with a cammer....you wont know what hit you!!!! Nascar wouldnt let them run,but that was the only thing that tangled with the Hemi on the strip....back in the good old 60s!...69 longhorn.

They were sweet huh? Too bad no one will push them hard anymore. I saw a dude with an awsome 427 cammer (it has overhead cams...much like the new 4.6 mod motor) This thing sounded wicked. He pulled up to the starting line on a test and tune and let her rip, only to shut it down at 1/2 track. He said he didn't want to push it too hard...it's worth too much $$.

Longhorn mail, i went to a ford show(yes, i said that!),just dont tell anybody. A guy had a 67 shortbed,with a 427 cammer....sweet truck! Some dude says ,hey I bet that runs good......the guy says,I dont know,i havent driven it. WTF?.......I would have smoked 6 sets tires in 50 miles!!!!! Toys are posta be played with.......69 longhorn.

longhornmail wtf did you run into that with. that looks as bad as the truck i destroyed three imports with. sleepin behind the wheel with imports right infront of me stopped while going 45 = bad headache. i know how you feel. sorry it had to happen.
