Post Wiring Help Needed

I'm putting in my painless wiring harness. I noticed the splice that it has for the nuetral saftey switch. the wire that goes from the fuse box to the switch is purple. I know I am supposed to splice into this and run to the nuetral switch, but it looks like there are 4 prongs on the switch, which and what plugs into all these spots. Also, for the switch for the brake pedal, there are 2 prongs for the orange and white wire, does it matter which prong each wire goes to?

Thanks

the brake light switch does not matter, I think there is only supposed to be 2 purple wires for the N safety switch, I know my truck is bypassed with only 2 wires joined into one.

I believe the other two terminals are for your reverse lights (automatic)

Hey Low69..... that Painless kit isn't quite painless is it? I installed their kit on my '69 as well. The brake light switch doesnt matter which is orange or which is white. The neutral safety, I didn't have to deal with the stock switch *have a B&M Megashifter* so I couldnt tell you on that. If you have any other questions on the install I'd be glad to answer them for you.

Als454, that makes sense about the back up lights. That would be the most sensable place to trigger the back up lights, also i have 2 wires labled "back up lights" that I don't know where they go. Thanks for the help. Anybody know which prongs on the switch are for which (N safety and back up lights)?

Cali Surfer-

I have a wire labled "Emergency brake". Is this used with our factory E-brakes and dashes or is this for using some later model with a E-brake warning light in the dash?

Thanks again

Yeah, when I saw that wire I was like "huhhh" because our trucks didn't have a parking brake light. I cut it and terminated it, i.e. not use it.

According to the Detroit Iron Factory Shop Manual CD,(factory wiring schematic) the purple wire goes to the 2 connections that are side by side. Not the 2 that are angled and side by side. It also says that the DarkGreen and the LightGreen wires goes to the back-up lights. Hope this helps?
