factory power windows?

Were power windows available from the factory in the 67-72 trucks? A friend of a friend has 2 67-72 trucks and a blazer in that vintage for sale that I am suppose to check out. 2 are from cali and the other is from texas. I dont know what years they are yet but was told that one of them is a loaded to the gills cheyene super that has the original big block with AC, tilt, and power windows. Think its legit?

No, they did not have power windows originally. It is NOT legit.

Re: factory power windows?

lol, I guess that he was mistaken in what he told me, unless someone added them at some point. I know that the trucks have been in storage for at least 10 years.

Re: factory power windows?

C'mon,

Power windows were as close as the kitchen back in the day, and come to think of it, they still are!

Re: factory power windows?

The seller may not have been suggesting "all factory" when saying loaded to the gills.Just saying it has everything "now".It's an the type of expression often used by car salesmen types.Like,"all the bells and whistles",etc.

Re: factory power windows?

Man i wish you would have been able to get them from the factory. i did my 67 gmc pretty much stock with a few add on from the 68 to 72 years. the only thing i added on my truck was power windows that was not available on a truck from 67-72. they were from a wercked 67 el camino. at least they will be the slow ones like they would have been if it could have been optional. lol.

Re: factory power windows?

If you get power window regulators out of an early 70's chevyvan..and modify them.to the orignal manual reg. .you will have a factory looking p/w setup..

I bet there is a round hole where that power window switch is.
