Re: Before and after.

Hey Rusty, we're going to have to change your name!! The project is coming out sweet, darned if your not going to beat me. Glad to see quality work from the old guys. I can't tell where you patched it... Wish mine looked like that.

Did you once say that you owned that same truck a long time ago???

In case I forgot, the truck looks great. Hope your health stays with you... J.

Sure did, bought from one of my ole buddies back in 84, he bought it in Washington, came home for a visit with his folks, got drunk and rolled her over. This is the second rebuild for her. I just love this ole truck.

You'll get yours done shortly, and she'll be done right.

Most of the rust has been cut out and replaced with new metal and the surface rust has been coated with rust encapsulator, then primed with automotive primer and painted. I try and stick with automotive paints as much as possible, that way I don't run into compatabilty problems with different types of paint.

I get my parts from GMC Pauls website, here's the link.http://www.gmcpauls.com, but I gotta warn you. You will have to do a little tweaking on some of the pieces. They're not factory.

Very nice work!!

Did you do the patch panels and piece it together? How many separate sections were required for the whole floor?

Thanks,
Herb
