Here's a familiar face from around here...that is new to me. Very fun truck to drive-you don't go anywhere without meeting new people!

Thanks! The big mirrors really make it look like a mini-OTR truck!

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides

Keep this thread going. Please include drop or lift height and wheel details. Giving me all sorts of options to decide for my 68 stepper. Thanks everyone.

What size wheels do you have on your stepper? I heard we cant run anything over 8 inches without tubbing.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides

20x8.5 & 255/35/r20 up front and 22x9 & 265/40/r22 on the rear. 5/7 drop with drop spindles & springs on the front, 6" springs & 1" block out back with NO c-notch. The rear end is the wide length and centered with a CPP trac bar. I have about 1/2"-3/4" clearance on the inside of the bed and about 1/2" clearance on the fender lip. This combo would clear on air with a size smaller rear tire perfect. I hope this helps.

Yeap that helps. On my C-10 longbed I have a 5.5 inch drop in the front and a 5 inch drop in the back, no c-notch. Not really a fan of air yet.

My stepper is actually a 68 GMC with leaf springs. But not a fan of the double headlights so i might convert the front to chevy.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the compliment. The tires are 255/70/15's and the springs are stock. So far I've kept it all stock except for the Rally's. I have the original rims that I use during the winter months. They work better in the snow. I keep debating lowing the truck but I'm not a huge fan of dropping it. It's nice being able to get under the truck easily to work on it. I wish there was a 1"front/2"rear drop solution.

Jim

what color fabric is your interior it looks like a lighter saddle than the original i like it .....where did the skins come from? Paint color on the console?
