I think so. I'll check tomorrow. I have a 235 head and 216 cover and studs.

Re: 216- 235 Valve Cover ?

1. My valve cover is a 235, 4 bolt (two per side on the bottom flange) and has some surface rust on the inside, will probably blast off.
2. I searched online and over at Stovebolt and it APPEARS like the early 235 and 216 valve covers interchange, 235 is taller, there is mention of needing longer bolts in one thread. There is also statements about early aluminum aftermarket valve covers fitting 216/235. I could not find a specific statement that they are the same.
You might do a search over at the HAMB board.

FWIW I still have the 58 235 long block, anyone need parts?

Re: 216- 235 Valve Cover ?

Probably get a good answer on inliners.org (http://inliners.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php) where they definitely know their sixes. (btw not sure if they still manually approve all requests to register in which case it may take a day or so).

Re: 216- 235 Valve Cover ?

It will fit. You need the 2 long rocker studs that act as the hold downs and the cover.
