1970 C60 Chevy dump truck - $1800 (Kalispell Mt)

http://spokane.craigslist.org/hvo/5319874743.html

Surprised this one works and is this cheap, usually the dump body trucks are +$2000-3000, probably because they can be put to service use right away. This same truck without the dump bed is $1000-1200 in most ad's I've seen, even with the 366cid (I see the single hood 'vent' emblem?).

"This truck runs, drives, and dumps but still needs a little work. Comes with chains. Clear title may take part trade."

1966 Chevrolet C60 2 Ton Truck - $1600 (Springdale) Near Tacoma, WA

http://spokane.craigslist.org/grd/5326617657.html

I am leaving the area and have done nothing with it since 2013 when I bought it from the original owners (retired wheat farmers). It has both a grain bed and open side racks. It is 4 speed transmission with 2 speed axle.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

Both trucks above look like pretty good deals, but I would take the '70 C-60 between the two. It doesn't say so, but I notice it has Air Brakes.

If it was around here, I'd be calling, lol.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

I gotta admit, I thought about how much it would cost to drive 1200 miles here.

Then remembered there's like 3 of them up the street from a buddy I should really call about.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

Was it the tank mounted to the frame behind the cab that gave it away on the air brakes? I called him a few weeks ago and he wont sell parts off it....just in case anyone was wondering hahaha. He's about 2 hours away from me

That too, but it was the Brake Pedal that first got my attention. GM used that Pedal for their Air Brakes for many years.

Cool pair, very different color, but I wonder why he is calling them "6-Wheelers" when they are actually 10-Wheelers.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

Interesting truck, but I dis-agree with the year.

In my opinion it is either a '66 or a '67.

Also interesting is that it only has 6-Lug Wheels.

Would love to have it to put my Holmes Wrecker Body on it.

But it's a little too far away, lol.

I have a friend that bought a '91 Ford Ranger with only 530 miles on it a few years ago. Another guy we know bought it to help build a house, then parked it in a barn. Cleaned up the truck was like brand new. Took forever to re-sell it though.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

Oh Craigslist, you wonderful distraction you... (not mine, just found and sharing)

1947 GMC vintage hauler - $5200 (Southern IL.) (Link)

I do not text. I will accept CALLS ONLY for more information.

Classic 1947 GMC Truck Tractor model 622. 5 spd. with 2 spd rear. Big 6 motor 361 cu. in. which is the same block as the 426 & 477 cu. in.. Engine starts right up and doesn't smoke. General motors used this cab design from 1939 to 1948 or 1949. Truck is very very solid & clean. New points, plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, rebuilt carburetor, rebuilt master cylinder. Truck brakes is hydro-vac system while it has air & vacuum brakes for the hook up of the semi trailer. Air compressor works. Dash gauges don't work. I have a NOS dual intake manifold and nos intake & exhaust valves for it. This would be a great truck to haul your antique tractor, car, truck, rod or boat to any show sport or cruise in. Truck needs a complete restoration if you want a show queen or just improve it as it is and enjoy it. This body style looks better , in my opinion, then ford dodge mack or others.
This truck was purchased originally by a nation wide building supply co. and was located in Joplin Missouri / Kansas area.

Looks like a great truck to restore.

I like the Pedal Pads too, but I can't remember an Air Brake Pedal looking like that. Looks like a Hydraulic Pedal ??

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

1934 GMC Wrecker - $4500 (Estes)

For sale is a 1934 GMC T-18 series truck set up as a wrecker. Truck is partially disassembled, but about 95% complete. Engine is a Buick inline 273ci eight cylinder that turns freely. Engine and lights are probably from a 1934 Buick series 60 sedan, and appear to be original to the truck. The body is excellent, with very little rust. Running boards are straight. The interior is very good, with all gauges having unbroken glass, and also has the original heater. The wrecker bed and boom assembly are off the vehicle, and the PTO system is all there. Obviously the truck needs a full restoration. I have a manual for the engine as well. This is a rare truck- I have not come across any others like it. Clear Colorado title. Asking $4500.

Part 2 Side note, this is the second Buick Straight-8 I've seen lately. There was one in a WA craigslist ad recently, complete, looked in really good condition.
