Re: '60-'62 Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

Captainfab,

Def. going to be getting one of those power brake brackets for my '61 since Im going to be using a '73 front end with disc brakes

Is there any way I can shorten the front "axle" because I know that the '73 is longer than my orig. front by 1.5'?

Want to put decent tires with nice width and dont want rub...

Thanks again for the PM about the chassi swap('61 to '73).....

Re: '60-'62 Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

The only way I know of to narrow the track width would be with shorter upper and lower control arms. I don't know if anyone makes them for the '73-'87 truck suspension. IMO it would be easier and less $$ to just get wheels with the correct backspacing. Even if you had to have them made.

Re: '60-'62 Power Brake Booster Adapter Bracket

Thanks for the info about paypal, will prob. be looking to buy booster adapter in a month or so.

On a different note; as you may or may not know I have a '73 c10 rolling chassis complete with orig. motor mounts. Doin front end swap onto my '61...

I purchased "towers" to place motor mounts on off of a '64 chevy truck that I was originally going to use.

Should I use the '64 "towers" or use the '73 motor mounts? What easier and better? By the way Im going to install an SBC 283...

Thanks,
