Moog pitman arm - best place to purchase

I need to purchase a pair of moog pitman arms.

Where is the most competitive place to buy these?

I do not want China knock offs.

Thanks

Yea Rock Auto. When you go to order just make sure you choose the Moog one as they sell other brands as well

Re: Moog pitman arm - best place to purchase

In the past few years I have seen at least a couple threads on the forum stating that folks had purchased Moog suspension parts due to their reputation and being made in America only to find that their Moog parts were made overseas.

Here's a post on the web about "Where are Moog Parts Made?" https://www.suspension.com/blog/wher...og-parts-made/

One guy in the comments section of the article has the same feelings as most of us here on the forum and the author of the article, Drew Taylor, responds. The article is from 2015 so I wouldn't be surprised if even fewer Moog parts are made stateside.

Comment: "can’t believe that that Moog builds parts in 16 different countries. I have a 67 Mustang and I want US manufactured parts for it. I feel that us built parts are far superior to parts made overseas."

Response:

"We had a hard time believing it too. At first. It’s pretty hard not to believe it when you have the Moog boxes staring at you claiming so. Edwin, you aren’t alone in that sentiment. Many people feel the same way about US built parts. And while I won’t argue in either direction, it’s very clear that Moog is now a global brand and the days of USA made only Moog parts are long past. Let’s just hope the same quality that made Moog the “go to” part in OEM replacement doesn’t suffer."

Re: Moog pitman arm - best place to purchase

Also, my outer tie rods were American made MOOG but the boxes looked they had been on the shelf for years. No problem with them but the rubber boots on both split in less than 6 months. RockAuto really wasn’t much help as they wanted the whole piece returned. MOOG never responded so I just ended up buying some aftermarket boots and replacing.

Re: Moog pitman arm - best place to purchase

Moog IS a global company and their suspension parts are made all over the world, including China. The years of them making all their suspension parts in the USA are long gone. Ordering Moog parts today and expecting yesterday's quality is a crap shoot.

Re: Moog pitman arm - best place to purchase

We in Canada dont have the shopping/vendor choices you have in the USA so a couple years ago, Spring of 2020, I started buing my Moog front end parts from Amazon over 5/6 months and all the boxes say " Made in the USA ". They will be getting installed probably within a month.

Re: Moog pitman arm - best place to purchase

Just an FYI for the future. Oreilly will give you a 10% Veterans discount. I get moog from them. The benefit is that I can inspect the parts before I pay. If I don't like what I see I can reorder. They are pretty good out here. I can usually get parts they don't have in stock transfered the same day.
