airbag FAQ

ok im heavily leaning towards putting airbags on my 64 impala instead of lowering it with springs..... (airing up to go up my gravel driveway seems like a good idea ) the kits run around 900+ bucks and dont even include compressors or anything.....
cant a piece it togther for ALOT cheaper? if so can someone just kinda give me a list of the parts i will need?
thanks

Maybe you can talk to NSANE68. He has a website http://www.phatcustoms.com/ and the prices don't look half bad.

Stay away from AIM/Chassis Tech! I have had three failures with their products. One spindle had a crack in it---This is way too common and very dangerous! After one year of use, his truck is now 1" higher in the front. Their air suspension products are pure crap. Much fabrication is necessary, and it will never be correct. Purchase a reliable setup from Air Ride Technologies. 100% bolt on, or weld in. Excellent quality, fit/finish, easy installation, and their setups are very reliable. More money, but well worth it. Just trying to warn you before it's too late.
