I need info on a ls 6.0l & 700r4 trans

I need to know what needs to be done to get the drive shaft to not hit the trailing arm cross member. I have a 72 2wd Blazer that i am putting a 6.0L LS motor with the msd box and a carb instead of fuel injection, my problem is that the tail shaft of the trans is very close to the trailing arm crossmember. I need any ideas to get the motor and trans lower. Thanks in advance for any help and info.
