Well anyone else?

Found my ratted out battery box in a box with some other things. Was happy to see it and started tearing it apart with the cutting wheel. The brackets are salvageable but the tray is not. Started cleaning it up and I see this stamped. Star of David with an I in the center. Weird? Looked on web and here and didn’t see anything about it. Just wondering if anyone knows why my truck is Jewish.

Re: Well anyone else?

I would say that’s an “H” as opposed to an “I”. Never seen that before, I’ll have to look at mine.

Re: Well anyone else?

I would agree that's it's more likely an H than an I, as the bases of the triangles line up with it as an H. I've never seen a mark like it, though.

Re: Well anyone else?

In all the vehicles I've "touched", I've never seen that emblem attached by the factory.. Being of Jewish decent, I can definitely say that the Star of David is much over used as a logo.. As for that logo, it could be an obscure reference to Judaism.. I as in Israel, or H as in Hebrew..

Re: Well anyone else?

I have no idea what this is. Never noticed it on any truck. But my mind jumped to "I" for Israel and "H" for Hebrew. I'm very curious to know now.

Re: Well anyone else?

I bet that's one of the super rare Hurst battery trays! They used them if your truck was optioned with the DZ302 motor!

Re: Well anyone else?

Normally stars always have a point going upward, so I think it's safe to assume it's an H.

I don't recognize this and have lots of tribe around me, but that's not saying much. I sent it over to one of my Israeli friends. He agrees it's an H, he's never seen it, he's going to ask his wife, who may have a better idea.

You'd be blown away, she's something special. I guess that's what happens when you grow up as an Israeli spending most of your younger life Hungary vs. USA?

But, sadly, she's got no clue either. Never seen the symbol before.

It's interesting, it looks almost like something you'd see stamped in a piece of nice silver or something. That's what I thought it was when I first saw it.

It's a 'How many triangles do you see?' puzzle.
