Let's see the white-nosed 67's and 68's

I'm trying to decide if I want to stay with a white or cream nose on my 68. I want to look at several various colors and see what looks best.

Thanks.

Re: Let's see the white-nosed 67's and 68's

My truck is the light green, just like Vectroit's Burb and my Panel is white, but both are subject to change. The Panel for sure, probably a deep blue. The green is kinda growing on me, though, so the truck might just stay green. But I kinda like the cream colored nose, like on the maroon ones.

I love the white nose and roof on my truck, they are gonna stay. It adds a lot of character I think.

Repaint on mine by PO, did they have white trim on 68's or where they all chrome? And anyone know if mine would've had the trim around the fenders and hood???

I believe it depended on trim level whether it had any trim around tha hood and fenders. My truck is a custom and I'm not sure which ones had or did not have trim. Not really sure about the white face on all trucks or not maybe someone else can chime in on facts.........

'67s had minimal trim and it was usually in a contrasting color. Steel trim rings. D-section in cross view. '68 usually had a white face [or other contrasting color,] with bright anodized aluminum trim around the air slot louvers and brite headlamp bezels. '68 Aluminum trim was not D-shaped in cross-section. '68 also had the "eyebrow" trim around the outer fenders and the hood lip. The brite anodized aluminum trim also was used to hide the paint lines bordering the white face paint and the main body color. The white trim paint was shot on over the main body color in production.

Re: Let's see the white-nosed 67's and 68's

Great thread. Came at the right time for me.
I have decided to repaint my 68 cab and balance of truck
and add the white face and cab top.
Anyone know what the color codes are for Light Blue body and
white top and face ?
