Full Wheel Covers vs Hub Caps

My '72 has the original steel wheels, and the SPID lists "Full Wheel Covers" of which I'm missing 3.

So, my question is, should Hub Caps fit on the same wheels that originally had the Full Wheel Covers?

The wheels are likely the same...if they are original...they should have 4 "nubs" or bumps on the inner raised section just outside the lug holes

Re: Full Wheel Covers vs Hub Caps

I'll check for the nubs. The SPID also lists the tires as H78-15-B ( I think, or the B could be an 8). How wide were the factory steel wheels, and any difference between 2wd and 4wd?
