Aluminum Anodizing

Hi all,
I have some aluminum pieces that someone over the years have painted over on my cab and body trim in my 64 GMC custom. These pieces are not re-popped around the side window ,so will need to find a place that can strip and re-anodize and polish these.

Do we have a supporting vendor here that does this, and if not does anyone have a company that they have experience with that they would recommend?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

I would like to see a Vendors List.
There is a vendors marketplace page but no list of vendors - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...play.php?f=195

Re: Aluminum Anodizing

I know there has to be businesses that do such coatings where there is aerospace stuff going on. It's been years, but I have dealt with places in the Baltimore/Wash,DC area. A fab shop would know or ask a powder coat business. They should know if they know their industry. The places I dealt with also did powder coat. They were industrial coaters of all sorts. I found out about these places asking around. I wonder if a wheel restoration shop would be a good place to ask.

Re: Aluminum Anodizing

Google metal finishing in your area. We have a couple of places local that do it.

Re: Aluminum Anodizing

Standard sulfuric acid anodizing is fairly common...Bright anodizing is not as common
Aluminum automotive trim parts were mostly bright anodized thus requiring them to have a polished finish prior to being anodized.

There is now a powder coating that closely resembles chrome plating
That might be an alternative to finding someone who does bright anodizing
