Can't wait to get it back all 'pretty'. Got lots of parts I can't wait to install... Hopefully by Christmas. I occupied my time though with working on the valve covers. I painted them with a high temp black and then polished the top only. I think they turned out looking pretty nice.

V/C's looking good! atleast they are pointing you in the right direction, and did the right thing by suggesting to get it blasted.

Yeah, that was cool that they did point me the right direction. I'm not used to getting treated well by a body shop. Definitely liking the one I'm with now.

looking good, your doing it right it might be a little more money now but in the long run you will be glad you did.... This is how i justify all of my upgrades anyway LOL !!

Been lazy about posting pics. Time to start throwing them out here....

Here is what we found when body shop removed the passenger rocker panel. PO had elected to just put a new inner rocker on OVER the old rusted out one. Gee, I wonder why that didn't last?

And here is the passenger bedside after some much improved bodywork

Here's some shots of how the cab looks now. We decided we are going to replace the cab corners too. This will get rid of the rust holes and the brazed brass work.

Here's how the doors and cab seam look now:

Looking good! PO did the same thing on me...we replaced the inners and outers to do it the right way....

Yep, got both inners and outers for mine too. When you're spending as much as we both are on our trucks, might as well do it, right? Love the bags on yours by the way. Maybe a future upgrade to this truck, once we've enjoyed it with the static drop for a bit.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can tell you the ramifications of you ball joint dust cover not going on all the way. What's holding it from seating all the way? Is it just the angle?

I'm not sure....the driver's side one doesn't want to seat either...haven't tightened down the spindle on that side though...waiting to figure out if I'm okay like that....the upper ball joint dust sleeves were already on...these never fit over the ball joint from the beginning....
