Paint this !
I have a 74 K20 that has a two-tone Bronze primary color and light beige secondary color. I want to use a Frost White (521) over the beige.
Attaching a pic with the look I'm going for. Any recommendations for a paint shop or private party in the San Jose CA area? Thanks |

Thanks. No I didn't buy. I pulled this pic from CRList because it' s the color scheme I'm going for with my K20.

Check out Burtonbuilt or his brother Instafab408 on Instagram. There are lots of pics of their work on there.

Maaco in Fremont. Yeah, I know, MAACO? Yep, they do some damn nice "restoration" kinda jobs besides their $200 dump paint from a passing car kinda jobs. I have been blown away at some of the cool old cars they have done there. It's less than half than the typical body shop.

Re: Paint this !
Appreciate the information gentlemen.
David, I have to wait for the wife to check out the Instagram stuff. Not on Social Media. This forum is about as high tech as I get. Mike |

Anyway, over 10 years of being washed once a year and never getting any wax EVER, the clear is just starting to lift in a few places. IIRC, she paid a little over 1,200 and if it had been washed and waxed on a fairly regular basis, might well have still looked almost newly painted. I had thought many times of taking my '63 to them over the years. Just haven't gotten to that point and not sure that I ever will at my pace. I think they are at least worth a look.

Re: Paint this !
Thanks for the feedback Chris.
I haven't pulled the trigger yet on the paint. Upon further inspection, I need to address a few rust issues as well. It's been sitting outside for awhile....Does not fit in the garage. |
