Project update on 1977 GMC High Sierra Ole Farm truck

Well here is the dash cluster bezel I’m using for this truck...I had a build thread going but its locked so oh well-here is the restored bezel-I like using a matte clear to protect the woodgrain from fading-not exactly 100% stock but idk-I rather it not fade. Chrome edging restored, thin chrome bead glued on with a thin epoxy bead-and the inner chrome circles are the OE finish-I left them as is-but I restored the chrome edge accent on them.

Re: Project update on 1977 GMC High Sierra Ole Farm truck

Some reference pics of the 78-83 pulse/wiper switch upgrade on this ‘77 GMC. I’ve already added my upgrade sub-harness kit so modding the dash by slightly opening up the existing wiper spot to accomodate the bigger switch. It really doesnt take much-I used a templet matching the 78-83 switch body, opened up the basic cuts using a dremel, then used an assortment of small flat files to smooth out the edges. Then, slide the 78-83 switch in, mark the 2 new mounting spots, drill them and they secure the updated...easy-peasy.

Loose test fit to visually see how it’ll match with the restored dash trim...next is to finish the updated wiring.

Following, I've got to get the parts to upgrade mine to a 78' pulse wiper. Nice work.

Re: Project update on 1977 GMC High Sierra Ole Farm truck

The 78-83 style motor is a direct swap out for the 73-77 style BUT-you need to go to the boneyard and grab the little linkage bracket that bolts to the motor shaft-the 73-77 wiper motors have a different size.

Right now I have my 77' motor hooked up to 81-87 linkage. Will that work?

New SPID tag with updated RPO codes for options added as well as the stock stuff. This is NOT a generic LMC tag-I built programs for these and many other items not currently offered by anybody else.
