How many offers have you had on your Blazer?

I had my 72 K5 from 1995-2006 and remember talking with strangers about every time I stopped somewhere. Fast forward 13 years and not only are people still coming up and talking, I have gotten "How much you want for it?" at least 4 times in the last 2 months! You can argue that there is not much seriousness behind it, but I never remember getting that offer with the other Blazer, so maybe times have changed?

I drove the restored K20 around for 2+ years and got the "nice truck" a lot, but never a "how much" question.

I love having the Blazer again! Hard to think that I would ever sell this one - all the kiddos want to take it everywhere. Priceless memories!

I get that with my Blazer and my '68 Jeepster. I have heard that the younger generation has no ties to the muscle cars that we love and are more into the old school SUV's, which is why they are as popular as they are. Might be something to that.

Re: How many offers have you had on your Blazer?

Everyone loves these Blazers, young and old ! I could see the market change 4-5 years ago which is why I sold my 28 Dodge street rod and built my 70 Blazer. Half the decision was because I love the old Blazers, and the other half is because it makes financial sense. Hot rods, street rods and 50's cars will be worth half or less in a couple years because as the owners are dying off, there's just no demand for these cars. Best decision I made. I'm a Mopar guy, and I would have loved to build 71 Ramcharger or Trailduster, but they would cost twice the money to restore and will be worth half compared to a Blazer.
As far as people asking if it's for sale? I get asked all the time, but then I educate them on the value of these trucks. 99% are just dreamers ! :-)

I’m quite active on IG and I usually get an offer every week or so. The Blazer market has just exploded in the last year or so. It’s getting out of hand. Especially for a factory 2wd version.

Re: How many offers have you had on your Blazer?

My wife and I drove to Missouri from Texas to buy mine. The first two stops we made on the way home someone wanted to buy it off the trailer. My wife couldn’t believe it. Then when we got home and I was unloading it someone else stopped and asked what I wanted for it. I told them I just bought it and it wasn’t for sale. He said “$15,000 won’t buy it”. I said no. He said “$20,000?” I said no. About every other time we take it out someone wants to buy it.

I get offers on my stock survivor '70 2 wheeler Jimmy (I call the "Golden Ticket") all the time, and some offers have been very very generous …...but I tell the potential buyers that I'll never be able to replace it, so no thanks.
