Wow, new crate engine with BIG power
So I guess the LS7 platform gets a huge bump in power but not from a company you would have thought of. Interesting read.

Re: Wow, new crate engine with BIG power
Mercury marine has been building/using GM engines for years.
The LT5(DOHC 5.7) used in the 90-95 ZR1 was built by mercury marine(but it was designed by GM/Lotus) |

It's nothing new. 1990 lt5 will go to 7500.

Re: Wow, new crate engine with BIG power
It looks pretty fun, but way more than 10x my budget.

Re: Wow, new crate engine with BIG power
Interesting truck chassis it's sitting in.
4L80e? IFS? R&P steering? where are the exhaust manifolds? Or the place to put them?

Re: Wow, new crate engine with BIG power
If you look closely...the exhaust ports are above the top of the suspension and motor mounts, just below the Mercury Racing logo which you can barely see due to the angle of the photo. Not sayin' the fit wouldn't be super tight or maybe even impossible, but there is a lot of room on the side we can see!
