4x4 front axel

what are you 4wd guys using to replace the axel slingers {deverters} on your inner axel shafts to keep the sand and muck out of the axel tubes. these were discontinued by GM 14 years ago and i havent been able to locate a seal or replacement part any ideas? its a danna 44 3/4 ton

I use old CV boots as seals. It seems to work marginally well. I do a lot of deep mud and water, and its the best fix I've come up with so far.

Most any shop that deals with medium and heavy duty truck drivelines sells Dana/Spicer stuff. There are also quite a few mail order and internet stores that sell this stuff. Randy's Ring and Pinion can probably sell you anything you need http://www.ring-pinion.com
