inner fenders

are all inners the same? i have heard 73-80 and 81-87 are diffrent even LMC lists them as diffrent. but this guy i'm trying to get a set from swears hes been doing it for 20 some odd years and the sticker says 73-87 i just don't want to buy the and them not fit.

They are not the same 73-80,----- 81-91. Just sold a set 81-91. Just buy new don't mess around with the old ones. $60 around here

73-80 have rounded corners toward the engine and 81-91 have the corners angle toward the engine.

is that the easist way to tell the diff? just asked hi for pics. No pics= no sale. but 80 bucks for 2 inners is a good price.

I don't want to hijack the thread but I have a 84 cab 76 fenders and a 79 core support.Just curious. is there any difference where they bolt to the core support.

$80 for inners is not a far price $60 each new. Just sold a pair new never installed aftermarket for $50.

this is the e mail i got back "it says on the tag 73-87 chevy trucks ive been buying the same ones for years and they do fit any truck from 73 to 87 the only different between trucks is usa to canada trucks that what u have to look for. usa trucks is 3/8 to 1/2 inch from the canada truck my grandfather told me everything he use to work at gm truck plant so if u want them ill have them ready for friday after noon"

You could ask the vendor if there are any stickers showing part # or GM logo...real nos (as opposed to repro) inner fenders for 73-80 sell for 200-300 each when available sometimes you can find nos parts that were purchased years ago and never used

i would want the proper year ones in my truck but when you think about it the guy could possibly be correct cuz when you think about they do bolt in the same.Maybe somebody could try one someday

I certainly would not take a chance on it but would be interesting to know for sure.Keep an eye out for swap meets , that is where i got mine , i paid 50 bucks for gm ones.
