Question Rebuild 91 k1500 help

I'm stumped on this one, so turning to the board for some help. I recently picked up a 91 k1500 (350 auto 4x4) with a bad driver side head gasket. Found #1 tdc before tearing it apart. Came apart easily and went back together just as easily. Went to fire it up today, cranks easily. It won't fire though. It just blows back through the intake n throttle body. The firing order should be 18436572 correct? Started with #1 pointing at the #1 cylinder and went clockwise. Maybe I have it wrong? Or do I have the valves too tight? Did the tighten go wiggle, then 1/4 turn more method. Anyone have any insight?
