just bought my first V8 S10

well i just purchased my first v8 S10. i use to have 4 different s10's all had 4 bangers in them. well unfortunatly the circumstances of aquiring this 1 was unfortunatly due to my uncles death. it was his baby for many years, im 31 and when i was a kid in school he had this thing(at least 15yrs) dont know the year right off hand but assume its late 80's, he had at 1 point replaced all the metal and installed white iroc wheels and put in(what he told me) an old carbed LT1? he had 2 S10's and this is the 1 that my aunt sold me. it will be interesting to get it on the lift to see how everything is done on this swap he did so mant years ago. she only wanted 300$ but i gave her 600$ since she is only on her social securty checks now and always hurtin for money. she is happy she didnt have to sell to someone she didnt know, ill post up pics in a few days, its still at her farm, i have to clean it out, im gonna take his goofy running boards off and he had a roll bar thats coming off.. ill post up pics of his other baby that has a supercharged v8 that he used to haul there 29ft fifth wheel camper.

Re: just bought my first V8 S10

Yea, open the hoods!
Looks like an engine stand and maybe an engine in the bed of the 82?
Most V8 swaps put the engine under the hood! LOL

The "mini semi" is definately different! 500 hp and that short wheelbase would be an adventure...LOL
I'm sure it'd pull a 29 foot trailer easy enough but I'm wondering how it stopped it!

Re: just bought my first V8 S10

the wheelbase on the blue 91 made it real interesting for him pulling the fifth wheel, he had more problems backing in to sites thou. his first time backing in he jack nifed and the camper pushed the stacks in to the windows and blew out the rear window, sounded like a gun shot.
