Re: rear mounted Fuel tank?

Using a Camaro tank allows you to put the filler behind the license plate. If I ever did this mod again, this is the route Id go. The side marker and taillight ideas are great, but a lot of work and if you live in a state where they have giant rubber boots on the filler nozzles, it's about impossible to fill your tank without making a huge mess

Re: rear mounted Fuel tank?

I am using two stock Sub tanks. One in OEM location and one behind that cross member, with a trailer hitch, and the trailer connector/winch connectors are going behind the license plate. Yes it is tight but it should work.

I am using the OEM(71') Filler neck on the front tank, got a factory cut out filler neck 1/4 panel mount from Vintagechevytrucks and what I presumed is a 67' Filler neck as the cap from my 71' did not fit. Just got a 67' Cap from my FLAPS and it fits but does not turn... Does anyone know what changed between the caps/filler necks over the years?

I put a hagan pop up door in my left rear inner fender. This picture does not show the door installed, but you can get an ideal.
