Yesterday I gave this old truck it's first good wash in years. And I got the front wheels and tires replaced this morning. Looks a million times better with a matching set of wheels and tires.






And here's a pic (that I should have posted previously) of the engine compartment with the wiring all cleaned up.

Still not sure. Part of me says store it and fix it up eventually, and part of me says sell it and put the money back into my yellow truck.

I don't need two trucks, but the more I work on it, the more I think about keeping it. And I like the way my driveway looks with two trucks.

I think you should dump a bottle of liquid engine detergent in it then let it run 5 minutes and then change the oil, then do the works on it, check the distributor and replace parts as necessary, plugs, wires, vacuum lines, fan belt, the whole nine yards, then change the transmission fluid and filter, rear differential fluid, change the carrier bearing, U-joints, wheel bearings, rebuild the brakes, use a poly carbide disk on all the body rust, prime it, seal it, and spray Krylon rust tough on it, then sell it as a mechanically reliable good old girl.
Then you can take that money and spend it on Mustard.

I figured I should start it up and let it run for a bit this morning. I think it sounds pretty good for sitting a couple years or more. I haven't even changed the plugs or flushed out the gas tank.
