I had a catalog that had a front spoiler for 67-72 trucks that looked good but the company went out of business does anybody know who might sell one? This was a small one made of plastic. Thanks

I would like to see one too. After seeing newer trucks with airdams or spoilers, everytime I pull in the driveway and see the front of mine, I think it looks weird not having something down there.

if you guys find a pic of a truck with one on it post i would like to see it and this may sound stupid but does my front bumper look aftermarket like i know the old owner put a new one on but is it the same as original like would that spoiler fit mine to?

i would like something like that for my 86, we used to see a few of these sorts of spoilers on f-series tow trucks here in oz, now impossible to find.

I saw one on a 68 at Home Depot one day and it looked great. Didn't look like the one on ebay though. I wouldn't mind having a couple of these for my trucks either.

Tommy Wentz (Wentz Motor Company) in Danville,VA was having those made at one time,along with other`glas parts.I think he has a brother that does that type of thing.Is that the guy that went under?
East Coast Customs may make or made them,too.I think they`re out of Florida.

I know it's hard to see but I have a late 80's truck spoiler on mine. Second picture is a little better. It's black plastic and I'm glad too, it's seen the upper side of a curb or two.

Purty much it's plastic so drilling holes wasn't to bad. I drilled the two mounts in the frame rail where it would sit right up under the front bumper.

i used a new spolier that i ordered from GM parts. it's for the 1990 chev 454SS 1/2 ton. i had to fab a piece of 1" x1/8 flat bar bolted to the spoiler to and 2 holes to bolt to the 2 holes in the frame horns and used 2 large head siding screws on the outer edge up into the fender (lower edge). it looks like it was a factory installed. the 2 holes were filled with driving lamps.

Wentz motor is the people that had the spoilers, the catalog showed them but it wasn't a good picture, I have tried calling, e-mailed and checked the website but I think they must have gone out of business. The pictures of the truck with the 80 spoiler looks good.

Also Wentz had two spoilers one plastic that I liked the other was fiberglass that lokked kind of tacky!

Tommy Wentz isn`t the best business man.I stopped dealing with him years ago (long story).He used to love his whiskey,if you know what I mean.Can`t speak for now.But,I think he still comes up to Carlisle.Keep trying,he may still be around.

Two of the above shots are later model air dams to help the radiator get more air. The yellow GMC has a real spoiler just like the one I saw. Sure wish they still sold them but I can't find them anywhere.

It`s kinda like spoiler or lower the truck.Ground effects went out when suspension modding took over.There`s alway been lowered suspensions,but ground effects slipped in for awhile because of the euro-thing.With these trucks in classic status,I think most are steering away from altering the original looks of such a fine design and leaving alterations to later trucks.Like a supply and demand thing.Wentz probably can still help you out if they`re still up and running.East Coast Customs may have gone out from what I`ve been hearing.

You can still order these new through GM and some vendor's have them also for other models. I cut mine to work on each end was a metal tab with a welded nut on it. I cut that off.
