well footballers, the new channel material came in and I ain't feelin' it, with just the glass inserted into this material I can barely slide the glass back and forth in it, it is a very snug fit, ie the glass is just TOO darn thick

so then with that new felt material inserted in the actual vent window channel we are pretty much back to square one and the same problem, it fits way too snug for a window that needs to go up an down

I had a similar "snug" problem with the Jeep. Some dry graphite helped.

so I am super happy to reportinate that I got the driver side winder reinstalled for the 73rd and final time using just the Flocking Tape on the vent window channel and it goes up and down as Zeus himself intended

I was so pleased that I went out KOHLSing today since it was 75° F, apparently California did not get the memo that it is supposed to be winter

and since you didn't ask, OH MY GAWD the truck runs amaze ballz, and I take ZERO credit for the tuning

Good to hear that it's running perfect! I had to look up what "flocking tape" was (it sounded suspiciously like what I say when my tape sticks to something else while I'm trying to install it

). I keep a file in my computer where I list neat ideas that I see on these posts, and that tape has been added!

ha ha, I had that thought when I reread my post and I thought, I hope they don't think it's that kinda tape

and we sound so much alike I have sub folders under most of my directories called "ideas" so the structure looks like this:

Busty

- Exterior
-- Doors
----ideas

-Interior
--Seats
----ideas

and you bet most of the ideas are off of this forum that's why I luv it so much

honestly cause I'm not used to driving with them front fenders sticking out 18" beyond the edge of the front of the hood that I can see from the cabin, I am lucky to still have the sides of my garage as I back out of it each and every time coming within a fraction of an inch of scrapping them fenders I bet

so as I round third base on my way for the final stretch in the third period, here are the final, final things I need to do to have her be 100% complete, complete

1. install the battery hold me down bracket clamp thingie (may require some welding) - ✔

2. install the rear brake metal to rubber lines bracket - ✔

3. re clock the steering column so that the turn signal indicator does not point at my crotch

4. reinforce the B&M floor shifter base plate to prevent it from flexing when shifting - ✔

5. I forget, but I'm sure there's something, ha ha (yeah... it was screwing down the air filter to the intake manifold so it won't fall off cause it's aftermarket crap and the hand cutter clamp doesn't do it justice) - ✔

It's funny. You don't know what you don't know. Driving them definitely helps to identify areas of concern.

I came up with a whole "Winter to do" list. I'm just about complete with it.
