inoperative blower motor

Well, for awhile I'd been putting up with an erratic blower motor on my DD '05 Denali XL-sometimes would work, most of the time barely any air movement, the climate control display had no affect on its operation. It got to the point where sometimes the blower would only be on very low and NOT turn off with the truck off for about 15 minutes-weird stuff.

So after some research, it appears the blower motor/resistor module is a common failure part so I replaced it with a GM service bulletin replacement part and all is good I'm happy to report! The OEM one has some major corrosion on the heatsinks and you can see where 10 years of collecting moisture had taken its toll on it. The replacement part comes with a 3-wire connector you need to splice into your original wiring-I opted to solder Delphi terminals in place of butt connectors and made up a 3-cavity male/female connection point for the 18ga purple, 14ga red and black leads. Took about 15 minutes start to finish-not bad.
