Hi all, new here and to the Chevy truck world. Amazed by how cheap and accessible the parts are, but I cannot source a brake booster which seems crazy given how many of these trucks are still in service. Summit told me Cardone 50-1101 is the right part, it looks like what's on there now, but even Cardone doesn't have them.

What are you using on your 3/4 ton?

I could not get one for a ‘72 reman either. I wound up buying a Speedway Motors booster/bracket/master/combination valve kit.

The drum brake booster is different than the late disc booster. If you are adding power brakes and not just repairing a booster, know that these trucks have a bracket that offset mounts the booster and use a linkage to actuate.

You need all the parts to convert not just aa booster like on later vehicles.

This is what I am using with my 70 C20. Works great and is exactly like the original that I pulled out. It is a dual 8.75" diaphram.

Check out the setup Frank sells. I have the 1/2 ton version and it works great!

Couple years ago I bought a replacement booster an master cylinder from Oreilly auto parts matched the original
