Most modern people who know nothing about pickups think all pickups back in the day were bought by people to do work, such as farmers, blue collar handyman types or trades type persons. They know nothing about the 3/4-1 ton "Custom Camper" or "Camper Special" type of pickup that was originally bought for recreation. Many, not all, camper pickups were bought by the "well to do", doctors, dentists, lawyers, corporate titans etc. that enjoyed nature, outdoors and travelling to great landmarks and parks and could afford the more expensive camper units.

Good score, delivered even! Looks similar to the Trav A Lite cap on my truck. I literally picked this out of a farmer's field on the way to Crusin the Coast a few months back. Gave it to me for peanuts.
I'd say it's $50-250 range depending on location, $100 on average.

Thanks, I gave $100.00 for it which seemed fair since he loaded it up and delivered it. When the weather warms up I will get it cleaned up and see what I've got.
