I like to put a Trans. Temp sender in the line with one of these... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-2287/

That way you don't have to unhook it everytime you change the filter and fluid.

i say paint them red and have whoever made you that scrolling badge make a scrolled piece to go all the way down the center of the valve covers....its just money and it would look killer

Your engine should look like that after 20k also. Without the exhaust crossover and hot intake baking the oil. Mine looked pretty clean when I had it open at 20K. Does your shifter get into all gears and also is the column adapter made by Lokar or your custom design?

Thanks for the link. I was wanting to use the factory lines but it looks like I may have to do something different.

Totally agree. Shifter goes into all gears. I will still need to do some fine tuning after I put everything together to stay. Are you talking about the shifter arm bolted to the bottom of the column? If so, that's the Flaming river builds their columns.

Accomplishments today:

Drilled and tapped oil port to install oil pressure sending unit.
Painted one of the valve covers red (not sure if I like it yet).
Mounted the fuse for the air bag compressor.
And I finally started on the wiring......... what a mess....

I like the red. Just be careful of how many of the liquid refreshments you have while working on the wiring, or it will be a fried mess. LOL. Do you have the part number for the oil pressure cover with the the knob like your using. My Chevy dealer keeps ordering me the plain covers. Thanks. Looking good.

since your SC is cast finnished, your valve covers should be cast finnished too. More red, or no red. The lone red valve covers just scream corny.

I think it looks good. Plus, the headers are similar color to the blower so it will break it up just enough while tying it together with the burb.

maybe paint the fuel rails red too, add a red pinstriping design to the SC snout, black wires (red might not match hues). don't worry, my opinion cant be all that important, I have been told by my smarter half that my black door panels dont match my burb!
