69 grill in 71???
Forget about the light hookups. I just want to know if a 69 inner/outer grill assembly will direct fit into my 71??

Yes the only thing that is different is the center grill support under the hood latch

The grill supports are completely different. It isn't something you would want to do homemade.

I believe the hood latch is the same. You just unbolt your 71 center grill support and bolt the new one on. I did the opposit when i bought a 70 with a crunched bumper grill and hood. I had a good 71 grill and bumper and tracked down a 71/72 center support. Its a bolt on affair.
The LMC (or in this case and vendor) catalog is great for situations like this. Just look and see if there are different part numbers for what you need or if they are the same. |
