WTB Half cab

Looking to buy a Blazer half cab complete with the metal header that installs below the top to close off the bed.

Of course the nicer the better but will consider parts that need work.

Thanks
Mark

I am not a member of Facebook. If you or anybody might have contact information for one for sale on Facebook marketplace I would be happy to contact them.

Thanks

I have contacted him. He does not have the bulkhead, any glass or seals and is missing some additional parts?

If he was closer, I would make an offer and try to make it work. At $850 and with shipping I do not think it is worth it?

There was one from ebay that did not sell with a buy it now of $2500 and it did not sell. Of course he does not want to ship. I am still working on it though.

Re: WTB Half cab

What is the going rate on these half cabs?

I only ask as I have a pretty mint MTB half cab complete with rubber and glass. Getting ready to paint it and fab up a new bulkhead to match but found a double walled top last week that I am going to use.

I would up for selling it as is or restoring & building the bulkhead if there was price justification.

if there is no major damage to the top or broken bolts in the mounting holes, i believe you could get $2000 for it. they just dont come around very often.

Not without the bulkhead IMHO.

There was one on eBay, mint with everything included. Starting bid $1500 and buy it now for $2500. Not a single bid. Shipping can kill the deal. If I could get a complete one to my address for $2500 I would buy it.

the bulkhead is the EASIEST piece to make. rectangle frame in 16/18 gauge sheet steel and some wood corners. i personally would make the bottom piece from a truck bed so the corrugated units would interlock on the bottom and not a flat piece that was on my bulkhead. at $1500 for a mint piece i would have gladly paid a $1000 in shipping to get but i drove 1500 miles to buy mine. calculate the gas at $5/gallon and 15mpg. i would have spent the other $500 to not burn an entire day. maybe in your area half cabs pop up all the time but out here i have only seen 2 for sale in the last 2 years so i ponied up the cash and now have one. good luck on your search

Re: WTB Half cab

I've got a bulkhead with my MTP, happy to provide photos and measurements if anyone is trying to build one.

Press brake 16 gauge with a frame of 1x1 square tube. Then use the bead roller to make some vertical beads to match the bed and make it more rigid. A few nutserts and we should be good.

I would love to see pictures of the bulkhead. It has been years since I have seen one of these and, at that time, I did not care enough about it to pay attention. Now, with all the talk, I am more curious about them.
