Who has the best kit? Anyone have any opinions? I want to go with rubber, not poly.

I want to get my rockers redone, but I think I better get the body on straight before I do that.

I just got my set from Kenny's and they are supposed to be like original, but seem a little more plastic. It does not come with bolts either by the way. $95 plus shipping. Jeff.

I got the kit from LMC. Was a bit more $$$, but came with the bolts, if I remember right.

Made a big difference in how my heap rode!!!

Ok...Maybe a stupid question...But why would you NOT want Poly mounts? I've never heard anything but good things about them until now....so I'm curious.

Good question. Maybe poly is better...anybody know? I was told that they made the already rough-riding Blazers even more rough-riding. I suppose poly would last longer?

Any opinions??

i have heard if your floor pans or supports are weak the poly mounts have no flex and can push through

The polys have more durability because they are stiffer and that stiffness transfers over in the ride. Ride is not as smooth as rubber since it doesn't give. Just a matter of choice. Good rubbers are More $$ than polys

urethane mounts squeak. My friend's truck is pretty damn annoying.

Plus, all the urethane bushings Ive had, seem to get crumbly, after a few years, which is a direct contradiction, to the claims that they last longer than rubber...

To each his own if you buy good poly mounts you will have good luck (Energy Suspension)is all I have ever used. A friend of mine has a new set of Energy Suspension Poly cab Mounts for 67-72 blazer for sale

I read somewhere that polyurethane is similar to rubber in that the durometer (basically hardness) isn't fixed, and can be made to whatever hardness the manufacturer wants to make. I don't have any experience with poly body mounts, but would be interested in other's opinions of the different types available for our trucks. Anybody have them??

My friend's noisy POS has energy Suspension mounts. Its a rust free cab, as well, so its not anything else makin' the noises.

The crumbly ones were factory erquipment from Rancho, and some el-cheapo ones I got a at a local 4X4 shop...

The rubber ones reduce vibration felt from engine and drivetrain more than the poly do, the rubber ones will also not pull through a rusted frame bracket or body as soon as poly will due to the poly mounts that are made being stiffer but if its rusted bad enough even rubber mounts will pull through.
The poly though will reduce body roll helping or sway found in hard cornering, and poly will not break down from high salt conditions.
