55 Chevy Cameo Update

Been a while since I posted on the board.

Since the last time I was on I got the suspension done for the most part. I think I'm going to pull a leaf off the rear to level the truck. It's got 3" Posies in the front and Sid dropped the OG axle 3"s. The rear is 3" Posies and 2" drop shackles.

I sorted out the front clip as best as i could and tried to get the old Stovebolt running good. It sat for many years but so far it's been ok. I did the PCV conversion and headers but other than that the motor is still stock. It has a 3 speed but I have a 3 speed OD sitting in the garage that I plan on putting in later.

I threw in a early 90's Silverado bench seat that I found with the original red vinyl for now. I do have the original bench and the internals are in pretty good shape...just need to be recovered.

I still need to fix a few spots on the cab that need attention and fix a few cracks in the glass on the bed. The tail lights, rear bumper and tailgate are sitting in the garage. I had all 4 rear bumperettes re-chromed and I need to do some glass work on the tailgate cover before I put the rear end back together.

Here's short video of the progress on the truck for those interested.

Thanks Rockin...yeah not to bad for an old tired inline. I'll drive it till it craps out on me...then she's probably gonna get a power upgrade.

Re: 55 Chevy Cameo Update

Been a while again...got a little more done on the truck. Most of the metal work is done on the cab and bed.

Going to start working on the fiberglass now.

For those interested....
