ever thought of leaving a few slots open. Then use pvc pipe or something to run a/c out of the slots. The pipe could have matching slots cut in it with a router. This would be cool on a non a/c cab.

i'm never puting ac, and i dopnt need the heater enough to jsutify trying to find out what i wrong with it, i might even take the heater out. that would be cool though, and you could make some little billet vents for it or something, i guess yo uwould have to get aht machined thouh

Here's the current state of my dash...

As you can see, I'm using a stock dash pad on top. I got mine a couple of years ago for around $90 but the prices have been dropping on them quite a bit lately. You can usually find them for $65 or less these days.

Think if I went off a slightly copied design simular to your smooth dash a bottom fold out glove box would work?

I can't quite picture what you're describing. Can you draw something up and post it? I was thinking of doing a drop down tray at one point... basically a tray that sits up behind where the glove box door should be and just lowers straight down until it clears the bottom of the dash. It could be done with tensioned scissor arms or by motor. I've since decided not to do this for a number of reasons... 1) heater is going under there, 2) too complicated, 3) when I had a glove box, it was empty, so why do I need one now

Seanh71 - Here's a old pic of what I've got. It pretty much is just a formed section of sheetmetal and welded at the bottom of the rolled section. I added some louvers for the defrost vents so they would possibly halfway still work.

70c10 - Thanks!

I perfer something kinda soft for a dashpad. If you have a passenger with you, and rear-end someone, their forehead will thank you.

Sean - yep thats about it. You might be able to use your old dashpad to help with the shape close to the windshield.
