'69 SWB Stepper progress pics

I've been on this project for a while now, I finally got over to the body shop (Helmbeck Bros, in Gravel Ridge, AR) to get some progress pics. I did a lot of the metal work and I still have the cab at home. Just thought I'd share what's been going on. I welded in the pan and welded up a TON of holes and beat out some dents. Scott Helmbeck and his crew radiused the ends of the bed rails and fit up the tailgate - they did some really cool stuff that I did not get pics of along the way, but there is a lot of fab/metal work in the tailgate top and the ends of the bed. I'm pretty pleased so far. I did all the work to the firewall and will be taking the cab to him next week. Anyway, now for a few pics....

Looks like you are going to have a nice ride when you get it done. It's the little changes that make the difference.

That's kinda my theme so far, just making little tweaks that will make people look a little closer. Funny thing is, those little tweaks usually involve a lot of work! The rest of the cab needed quite a bit of work - inner/outer rockers, floor patches, and the doors were pretty rough, but it's all coming together now. I have a few more little surprises, I'll keep you guys updated as things happen.
