New style radio under dash. Anyone?

Anyone hung a new style radio maybe under the dash? Really don't want to take the factory one out.

I took mine out, but I still have it. It can go back in if I ever sell the truck. I got a CustomAuto Sound, fits without cutting the dash. I actually like the RetroSound but I didn’t see these until after I installed the CustomAuto Sound. The RetroSound, you can pick your own knobs.

Thanks, I looked at their website but they don't list prices.

I didn't mention, this is not for a show truck.

I bought a cheap bluetooth radio with remote from Aliexpress for $15.00 just to see how well it was and works well . Can add a amp as well. I can use my old cell phone as a MP-3 player

This is what I used for a while. Designed for a boat. Works pretty well.

I have that same set up in my '71 4x4. Does work well, I use the flip down smoked acrylic cover that came with it to keep dust and such out of it. Am considering doing the same for my 57 Chevy 2 dr when I get to that point. The stock 57 radio and dash is not something I have intentions of removing or cutting.

Palf70Step, do you have the cover that comes with that mount? I may have a spare laying around it not.

Re: New style radio under dash. Anyone?

Great idea. Thanks guys. I have a friend who has one of those in his golf cart, but I had no idea it was made for a boat.
Thanks!

I have the whole thing in a box in my shop. You need another one?

After looking a bit closer I see you have the flip up lid attached. Totally missed that first go around look, LOL. If you are not going to be using it, I would be interested in it. Send me a PM with details and asking $$. Thanks.

Re: New style radio under dash. Anyone?

I also needed a cup holder so I build this thing real quick out of plywood the mounted my radio to the front of it. Not sure why the picture is sideways. On my 65 I did something a little nicer.

just fabbed this up out of some sheet metal I had in the shop.

You could get a bluetooth amp and hook it to speakers. You can hide it somewhere and just play music off your phone.
