I like the stock look as well. I currently have 86 Suburban Rally wheels on mine. When my truck was green, I painted them to match and they looked good, but prefer the stock look

Exactly, the rallies fit the bill for a while, but I am happy to go more to a rest-mod look.

Your burb looks good, I like that color.

New wheels, white walls and dog dish hubcaps are on. *69 Impala, I will budget for correct ones later

Thanks. I'm completely re-doing the truck now and it's going to be the original Light Blue and White. It's my memory project in memory of my dad. He was 2nd owner and I'm 3rd and there are tons of memories in the old girl. She gets a new "heart" next year(350).

Sounds great.

With my 78, my dad and I rebuilt it in the back yard when I was 14. 20 years later, I had him come over and we put a whole new drivetrain in, good times.

I have so many memories with this truck, good, bad and crazy...

Re: 65 Panel Truck "RWC"

Now that I have hubcaps on, I got a proper tool for the panel.

Funny thing is, I came home from my trip (hauled the Army from Ca to Va) and found the package hidden away. I "discovered" it and asked my wife about it. She said, "another stupid package for one of your trucks"...I love her anyway, lol.

Re: 65 Panel Truck "RWC"

It got above $50 today, so I got the panel out and took her for a cruise. She rides nice on the new wheels and tires. After the cruise I got all the blue off the tires.

I might take her to work tomorrow.

Re: 65 Panel Truck "RWC"

I just realized that I haven't posted since December. Man, does time fly! My daughter graduated High School and I have been busy flying or working on the honey-Do list. I have tinkered with the panel here and there. The PS pump finally bleed out, so I just got a new one that I need to install. Pics to follow when I am home.

Re: 65 Panel Truck "RWC"

I got the new PS pump installed and everything lines up well. While I was installing it, I decided to replace both V belts. Then I pulled the fan and painted it. Which led me to ordering new pulleys, I hate these chrome ones. Oh, and I bought a new alternator bracket. Just got to wait on the new parts.

Re: 65 Panel Truck "RWC"

I drove the panel to work yesterday. With the new shroud she never got over 190 at stoplights, and it was 90 here. Also I got a tire rack to help clean up the garage.

Finally got an insulation kit for the floor. I just received the rubber floor mat from the Truck Shop. Initial test fit looks good, going to let it lay in the heat for a couple days.

Re: 65 Panel Truck "RWC"

test fit of the new Scat seat bracket. Yes, I know I have the bracket in backwards. Being a panel it doesn't have bench seat holes on the passenger side, so it doesn't matter.
