Newb to the forum

Hey everybody, I'm Alex, I'm 25, and I have a Chevy addiction It all started when my dad bought his new 2001 Silverado back in 2000. Eventually I got to drive it some when I was 16 before it was totaled(I wasnt driving). Also had a lifted suburban in high school, currently have the 2 suburbans in my sig, plus the c50 i just picked up.
Looking forward to utilizing all the great resources this forum has to offer. Thanks for having me!

Re: Newb to the forum

The c50 belonged to a local lumber company here in town that they bought new in 1968. 66,000 miles, 292ci, 4 speed with split rear, 13' wooden flatbed.. The brakes went out during a parade in 2009 or so and they parked it in the shed. It sat untouched since then and was still covered it parade stuff when I got it. Talked to the owner of the company and we made a deal and towed it out of there.

The coolest part is all the original paperwork in the glove box! Owners manual still covered in plastic, 30-40 year old registration cards, original dealer info from a long gone dealership in town, and the old title that no one at the DMV knew how to fill out lol.

Right now the seat, floor mat, and fuel tank are removed to clean out the tank and assess rust. I was really suprised there's just slight surface rust under the fuel tank area. This truck is solid!
