1970 Chevy Grille Question?

I am in the process of buying a Grille for my '70 c10. Only thing is that its missing the two clear plastic covers over the turn signals, how hard is it to find these? Pic below is of grille I am going to buy. What would you say is a fair price for this grille? Thanks in advance!

Re: 1970 Chevy Grille Question?

any parts vendor could get you lenses fairly cheap, most swap meets should have them there... new and maybe used, looking on the parts board, e-bay or junk yards would probably get you some used ones dirt cheap.
As far as what that's worth, the photo doesn't show any detail, so it is quite hard to guestimate value.

Re: 1970 Chevy Grille Question?

The inner grille is worth more than the outer grill. Since it is s true 70 inner looks to be in good shape but it's hard to tell

Re: 1970 Chevy Grille Question?

A 69 or 70 grill outer sells for as much as $899 (actual GM) The repop ones go for about $315 and don't have the chevrolet on the crossbar. You can buy repop inners for about $100 that are pretty decent. It's a driver quality grill and it looks like the inner is damaged too so $75-100 is the max I would go. You can straighten out that spot pretty well if you are careful and patient.

Re: 1970 Chevy Grille Question?

NOS grilles can still be bought for $450 and up if you are patient. Having a dent really reduces the value. JMHO

Re: 1970 Chevy Grille Question?

Not sure if its the picture playing tricks on me or not but it looks like the inner grill is melted right below the dent in the outer grill. If so, I would take that into consideration.

As far as the signal lenses, they are simply "front turn signal lenses". I would contact a site vendor here. Im sure most all of them can help you out.

Re: 1970 Chevy Grille Question?

I tried looking for the lenses, and all that comes up are tail light lenses, and side marker lenses. I have yet to find any that say turn signal lenses or anything like that! I've looked on alot of different parts sites and still nothing. I have looked under lenses categories, grille catergories and still nothing?! Can somebody point me in the right direction to find these turn signal lenses for this grille^^^. Thanks!

I'm not recommending classic parts over any of our other board vendors, but I have had good luck with them. They have the amber lenses also.

If I remember correctly, there is a left and a right lens.

Re: 1970 Chevy Grille Question?

without clicking on the links, I would think they would be under parking light lens... that's what they are called, parking lights.

Re: 1970 Chevy Grille Question?

The grille doesnt come with any hardware, is there anything I could buy like at home depot to install the grille on to my truck or do I have to order one of those grille fastner sets?
