67 Small Window Stepper

I ran across this 67 stepper and would like to know what a fair price would be for it. I'm told it starts, drives and runs but it runs hot. I would have to haul it home. I'm pretty new to all this but according to the SPID the truck was originally ivory on the outside but appears to have been blue on the inside. Looks to me like the cab is pretty solid (correct me if I'm wrong) but I would need to check the cab supports in person. I'm not a fan of the peeling clear coat. Could it be removed for a more uniform look until I decide to paint? I don't need the truck to be shiny. Also, should I be too concerned about the rust/mold spots throught the cab interior? I wouldn't mine keeping the inline six but would want to add ac, ps and pb. Is this possible? If so, would it be hard to source parts or extremely expensive? I'm not looking to build a show truck but would like it to be a road worthy and reliable mostly original (except for ride height) to drive on the weekends. Any other thoughts what I should expect or look for? Thanks!

Re: 67 Small Window Stepper

Interesting. They want close to $4000 (which I thought was high). But not that high. Anyone else?

Re: 67 Small Window Stepper

Without seeing it in person its really hard to tell what "may" be covered up. I would think if there is no major rust it would be worth 2-2500 as long as it runs and drives.

Re: 67 Small Window Stepper

^^^ ^^^ but wouldn't go over $2000. Gonna need a good bit of coin to make it a reliable driver, then there's the body and paint which is a huge ??? until you start digging into it.

Re: 67 Small Window Stepper

if i was looking, i would give $2000 for it. you would need to advertise it, be patient and wait a while for the right buyer though.

Re: 67 Small Window Stepper

I would pay $2000 + as well in my area for it. I see some light rust in the picture on the inside of the cab at the top of the windshield. You should peel the weather stripping bab and take a good look at that area. The mold is just from sitting in the hot weather with the windows up for who knows how long, and will clean up. As far as the A/C goes you could probably buy an underdash unit much cheaper then you would get all the correct parts for. PS shouldn't be much of an issue, but you would pay more for the original pump and brackets for the I6 because they are harder to come by. Power brakes shouldn't be a problem either.

Re: 67 Small Window Stepper

$1000-2000 max over here on the rainy and rusty West Coast. I'd think you could find a lot better in Texas for $4000 lol That truck is WAY over priced. I don't think I'd pay more than $1500 for that truck though in that condition. It needs a total going through to get it road worthy from the looks of it.

Re: 67 Small Window Stepper

I agree with Fine69. As I scrolled down his words are exactly what were coming to my mind. It is a base truck, repainted,no money put in it,and not absolutely rust free. What does the floor look like under that aftermarket carpet? Sure, being on the East Coast I'd pay $2,000-$2,500 gladly...even considering the cost of transported added to that. But,it's in TX and he's selling it in TX.
