Let me know on the 67 stuff, looking for good complete front clip or parts to make one and good SWB leaf spring frames, 4X4 or 2wheel, need 2 both for rusted out 4X4's, I have all the crossmembers, spring shakles etc to convert a 2 wheelto 4 wheel just need leaf spring frames with the straight rear frame rails.

Re: Looked at a different one tonight!!!!!!!

Thanks guys, I'm going Monday to try work a deal. I think he's wanting $3500 for the GMC alone. If I get them all bought I'll try to sell the rest and see how it all does before I part the GMC. I'll try to sell it whole first. Thanks Randy

I say good for him. It's priced where it'll prevent some "Bozo" from buying it and yanking the 305V6 in favor of a small block. The truck's value is in what it is, not what can be made from it.

No I'm not inferring Teeitup or special_K would do that, but there are more than a few here who would, especially if the price were under 2K. Better to let her sit as a testiment to her old glory, than to become someone's "bling thing". There are enough trucks made into caricatures.

Did I say that? :rndll:

Re: Looked at a different one tonight!!!!!!!

There was a truck just like this one that sold on E-Bay a few weeks ago for $3500. The body was in good shape and I thought it was worth more than that considering what I've seen some trucks sell for. I hope you're able to find someone to give it a good home and not cut it up. What kind of shape is it in?

Bob

Re: Looked at a different one tonight!!!!!!!

If I do get them all bought, I don't want to part it but its the major part of whole deal with all the options it has. If it was a 4x4 I'd keep it and fix it up, I'm not into fixing up 2wd's. As I said I'd prefer to sell it whole if I get it. I need to look at it again Monday, check it out, its been 9 months or longer since I looked at it. Thanks to all for your input, Randy

Re: Looked at a different one tonight!!!!!!!

I was thinking that price was high considering you were buying him out.A guy should expect to not get full-value in deals like this,as Im sure you well know, room has to be left to make it worth a buyer`s while. You end up buying junk to get the good stuff, too. And,it`s alot of work people overlook. It`s not like you just get dropped off and drive them away. That, and you need a rig to do it or pay a heela bunch of money to have someone do it.I hope the guy makes you a deal you can go with.Good luck.

Re: Looked at a different one tonight!!!!!!!

Your exactly right Special-K, Thats what I'm trying to tell the seller, he has 13 other trucks I have to haul, over half of them, probably more don't have many useable parts on them so they'll be hauled to scrap. This stuff is over an hour from me so your right about that too fuel and time comes into play on the buying part of it too. Another problem is I really am finding it hard to find time to keep doing the truck parting deal with 2 kids now and a grouchey wife too Thanks Randy

Re: Looked at a different one tonight!!!!!!!

OLD THREAD, OLD THREAD!!!
Anyway this guys daughter called me yesterday and wants me to get together with her father and the family to try to make a deal on all these again. He's a rich old guy that doesn't need the money, thats what the daughter told me, but the kids want to try to get rid of some of his stuff. Hopefully I can get something to happen with these this month. Just thought I'd bring it to the top for everyone to look at pics!!! NOT A FOR SALE THREAD!!! Just pics of some old trucks I found. Thanks Randy

Re: Looked at a different one tonight!!!!!!!

2 years and 5 months later, I'm going back to meet with this guy and try to work a deal. I'm headed over there Sat afternoon, hopefully he'll be ready to sell. I know the big block is gone but don't know about any of the others. This has been a pain trying to work with this guy on these trucks. If I get them all bought I'll be parting them all except the 67 GMC with the V6 in it. Wish me luck, Thanks Randy
