Re: lets see them! big blocks!! and blowers if you got them!!

A buddys truck in Oklahoma. Little small block 385 on alky, put down almost 800hp to the ground, best et 9.45@145, threw the fuel pump belt off at about 1000ft.

475"bbc, show only. Best et 12.77@115. Super Street sticker on windshield a practical joke played on owner by his buddies at a show!! Can't believe I don't have any better pics. That yellow truck won about 50 best engine trophies in one summer. It was then torn down for a redo, and never done. I sold all the parts on ebay, including a 505 bbc that was built and ready to go in. Sucks.

Know I love big blocks but there is something about a turbo'd small block that gets my motor running having a streetable small block that cranks out over 1000hp is very exciting, has anyone else seen the f-bomb camaro in hot rod mag or on hot rod tv 1400 ponies and it idles without shaking your teeth out and calling the dentist for dentures, best part is that it left a ferrari like it was a 3 cylinder geo metro

I switched to a hydraulic clutch when I swapped in the 454 into my 69 K20. I'm running Dynomax Cermacoated headers, part number 86022, designed for the 67-87 BBC 2WD. The headers for 73-87 BBC 4WD would not work. I'm sure the headers I'm using would not work with the normal clutch linkage.

This is the motor to bow down to.

Here is the 454 in my 77 SS El Camino. It was in its finishing stages.

yep I did. My 402 is in a '69 4 x 4 which wasn't designed to accept one. Had to move the mounts forward to clear the motor from the firewall. Had about 3 different oil pans to chose from and still had a problem with the crossmember. We just left the crossmember in place but modified it with a torch. It is a mess and I will never post a pic of it.
